Year 3 and 4 are studying ‘The Journey of Chocolate’ this term. They have been working hard on this delicious topic! The children have learned about the origins of chocolate during the Aztec era as well as finding out how chocolate is made. They have designed and made their own chocolate bars. One of their key texts in literacy has been Charlie and The Chocolate factory by Roald Dahl.
The Year 5 and 6 topic this term is Crime and Punishment. The children have been studying the classic poem The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes as well as a new take on the story of the Three Little Pigs. They have been using all they have learned during their CSI inspiration day to work out whether the pigs are innocent or guilty! Children in Year 5 and 6 were also treated to a visit from PC Fuller and PSCO Mundy. They learned a lot but perhaps enjoyed the police van a little too much!
